About Us

At Ambition Crush, we believe that the power of storytelling is central to connecting and learning from one another. Stories enable us to build a sense of belonging and expand our understanding of the world. Our goal is to inspire young women to stop scrolling and start creating, develop storytelling skills that they can utilize personally and professionally, and help them gain a sense of purpose. Having their own work seen, acknowledged, and even published imbues them with greater confidence and gives them the courage to be heard and seen.

Why We Exist

Teenagers today are facing unprecedented challenges. According to the National Institute of Mental Health, nearly 1 in 5 adolescents experience a mental health disorder, with anxiety and depression being the most common. The American Psychological Association reports that 91% of Gen Z teens have experienced physical or emotional symptoms due to stress. Now more than ever, girls are experiencing higher levels of anxiety and depression related to social media, academic pressure, and isolation.

These trends are alarming, but they are not irreversible. We believe that providing opportunities for young women to share their thoughts and creativity can go beyond healing. Our programs also open pathways towards greater communication and comprehension skills for youth, as well as higher levels of critical thinking and emotional intelligence for adolescents. That means better problem-solving skills, improved decision-making, and more successful outcomes, ultimately leading to greater well-being in their lives.
