About Us
Our Mission
Why We Exist
Growing up has never been simple.
But today’s girls are navigating academic pressure, social media, changing friendships, body expectations, constant digital stimulation and a world that rarely slows down.
The data tells part of the story.
In the CDC’s 2023 Youth Risk Behavior Survey, 52.6% of female high school students reported persistent sadness or hopelessness, compared with 27.7% of male students.
At the same time, girls participate in physical activity at significantly lower rates. In 2023, approximately 17% of female high-school students were physically active for at least 60 minutes every day, compared with 32% of male students.
And that matters because regular physical activity isn’t only about fitness. CDC notes benefits that include stronger muscles and bones, lower risk of chronic disease, reduced feelings of anxiety and depression, and better psychological well-being.
Ambition Crush is committed to helping change the future by encouraging girls to create healthy mental and physical habits now.
Our Vision
We envision communities where every girl—regardless of income, athletic ability or previous access—has opportunities to:
move her body, understand her emotions, nourish herself well, manage stress, build supportive relationships and discover healthy practices she can carry into adulthood.
Who We Serve
Girls come first.
Our primary programs serve girls ages 11–18, especially those with limited access to wellness programming or who don’t connect with traditional competitive athletics.
But healthier girls don’t exist in isolation.
That’s why Ambition Crush also creates selected experiences for:
- Women
- Mothers and caregivers
- Families
- Schools
- Youth organizations
The result is a girls-first organization with a bigger community footprint.
MOVEMENT
Helping girls find joy in celebrating their bodies, getting outdoors, and being active.
